Secondary Intake Admission
Applications for places at Heanor Gate Spencer Academy must be made through the local authority central admissions. Application forms should be issued through primary schools, or are available from your home local authority. For Derbyshire they are available here. Online applications can also be made from this website.
Catchment Area
Our main catchment area includes those students who live within the catchment areas of:

- Horsley Woodhouse Primary
- Howitt Primary
- Loscoe Primary
- Morley Primary
- Mundy Junior
- Richardson Endowed Primary
To find out whether your home is within our catchment area use the ‘Find your normal area secondary school‘ from Derbyshire County Council.
In addition to students from our normal area, the local authority has in recent years also allocated places to students from Breadsall, Codnor, Ilkeston, Langley Mill, Oakwood, Spondon and surrounding villages.
