Summer Celebration Evening 2023

Immediately after an evening of fun at HeanorFest, this Wednesday we celebrated our students’ outstanding achievements at our annual Summer Celebration Evening. We recognised one student from each faculty and year group who has unwaveringly demonstrated our Heanor Gate Values in that subject. Special commendations were also given to those students our Achievement Team had identified as deserving particular recognition for their efforts over this academic year.

During the evening, we also commended the following staff for their remarkable contribution to the school this year:

• Young Teacher of the Year 2023 – Ellie Gascoigne
• Teacher of the Year 2023 – Georgina Lynam
• Support Staff of the Year 2023 – Gillian Carlin
• Outstanding Leadership Award 2023 – Louise Boyles
