Final Correspondence of 2021

Dear Parent/Carer

The final few days of term are here and providing nothing changes with regards to government announcements, this will be our final correspondence of 2021. Friday was a brilliant day and students supporting the Christmas jumper initiative raised the best part of £1000 for Framework’s winter appeal to support the homeless.

In an amendment to previous information sent out on 3 December, plans for the final day of term on Wednesday 22 December have now changed slightly. Students attending school will need to wear school uniform, normal lessons will be taught period 1 and 2 and students will finish at 12.30pm. Food will be available at breaktime only and any students eligible for free school meals will be provided with a packed lunch to bring home.

As we look ahead to the new year, please familiarise yourself with the testing schedule for the week commencing 10 January. Full details were issued by Miss Heard last week.

As always, all plans are subject to change should the government release any new information over the Christmas break however, so that everyone has advanced notice, the vaccination team have been in touch and set Tuesday 18 January as a provisional date to come into school and administer second doses to all 12-15-year olds who are eligible.

We wish you and your families a merry Christmas and all the very best for the new year.

Yours sincerely

Mr S Huntington and Mr M Jones
Executive Principal and Senior Vice Principal
