Mr Huntington’s hope that the collective spirit of #TeamHeanor could put a smile on people’s faces in these terribly difficult times has come to fruition. With your help we have managed to co-ordinate the momentous task of accepting thousands of donated goods in order to provide each of our identified families with a ‘Heanor Gate Hamper’, filled with Christmas treats!
In total, with all the donated goods and using the money that was contributed, we were able to produce over 300 hampers for families of HGSC students, meaning all of our families who wanted a hamper received one. The few surplus donations will be offered to the local food bank next week.
We are so very grateful for each and every item donated by our students, their families and friends, and members of the community as, without these donations, this fantastic achievement wouldn’t have been possible.
If you received one of our hampers and would be happy for us to anonymously share your feedback, please get in touch with the school by emailing the Principal’s PA at E.Pearce@heanorgate.derbyshire.sch.uk.
