Inktober 2020 Winners

Inktober is an annual global drawing competition that people across the world took part in during October, including the students at HGSC. The task involved selecting one word from a list of prompt words (one for each day of the month) to produce a drawing using ink (pen, fine liner or biro).

As a homework set in their art lessons, students from Year 7 up to Year 13 completed one drawing based on a chosen word from the prompt list, and from those submitted the art department selected a 1st, 2nd and 3rd winner for each year group. We also had a staff category with some incredible entries!

We were so impressed with the quality of the students’ work, some of which you can see in the poster below. All students were awarded with quality art materials which we hope they use to continue developing their art skills.

Congratulations to all our winners, and a very well done to our overall Inktober winners who completed the 30 day challenge – Harley Hewitt in Year 10 & Cameron Trowbridge in Year 9!
