Sixth Form Open Evening

On Thursday 13^th October we held our Sixth Form Open Evening for prospective post 16 students and their family. The event marked our busiest event yet as the Sixth Form continues to go from strength to strength, fully established as one of the best providers of post 16 education locally. It was fantastic to see a large proportion of our current year 11 students at the event, alongside a huge number of students from other secondary schools. The event gave attendees a chance to meet the Sixth Form leadership and teaching teams, learn more about post 16 education here at Heanor Gate Spencer Academy, and speak with many of our current year 12 and 13 students who certainly did the school proud. There was a fantastic buzz around the site during the evening, with lots of valuable conversations taking place which we hope will help inform student decisions around both provider and subjects.
