Miss Oliver is excited to announce we will be hosting a new event this year, the Visual Arts Exhibition, to promote the incredible work produced by our visual arts students.
This free exhibition, which will take place after school on Wednesday 6th July, is a celebration of our Y11 and Y13 students’ coursework and final pieces, created by those studying either Art, Photography or Graphics.
Students have worked incredibly hard over the past 2 years and the standard of work is exemplary. They have been working on a variety of different projects which include a range of themes varying from climate change to traditional portraiture.
Attending the exhibition will be particularly beneficial for students who are currently studying any of the visual art subjects in GCSE or A Level, and KS3 students are encouraged to attend if they are interested in these subject choices later in their school journey.
The exam board OCR allows the school to exhibit live coursework however photographs are strictly prohibited. Miss Oliver would appreciate your support with this by not taking photographs or sharing anything on social media.
Doors open at 5pm and the last entry is at 7pm. The exhibition should take approximately 30 minutes so it is advised that you arrive with plenty of time to view all of the exhibit. A bar with refreshments will be available on the night (cash only) which will be held in the Sixth Form Common Room.
