On the evening of Tuesday 13 July we held a virtual intake event for the parents/carers of our incoming cohort of Year 7 students. Originally it was planned as an on-site event; however, the rise in confirmed COVID cases in the area, as well as a local primary school being forced to close their Y6 ‘bubble’, means it was not prudent to continue with the evening in the face-to-face format we had previously organised. This letter was was emailed home to communicate this.
The event consisted of two pre-recorded videos from Mr Huntington, Executive Principal and Mrs Wagg, Year 7 Achievement Leader. Following this, we invited you to log in to a live Google Meets presentation with your child’s new tutor.
You should already know who your child’s new tutor is as we have previously communicated this information, but if this has not been received please contact us at H.Contact@heanorgate.derbyshire.sch.uk so we can resend the information to you.

Finally, may we remind anyone who has not already done so to return the data collection booklet to the school reception at the earliest convenience. We must have a completed booklet for every student joining us in September so we have important information such as personal information, emergency contact details, medical information and data permissions.
